Palliative/Hospice and End of Life Care
Many families face situations where a loved one must live with a life threatening illness. Many times death is imminent or expected. These situations affect young or old and can be sudden or known for a long time.
We believe all people have the right to quality end-of-life care that allows them to die with dignity, free of pain, surrounded by their loved ones, in a setting of their choice. If that choice is to be at home or in a loved one's home then we are able to provide the support needed.
A variety of terms are used in the healthcare system; “Palliative Care” also called “Hospice Palliative Care” or “End-of Life Care” and can be used interchangeably but all refer to care for people who are living with a life-threatening illness, no matter how old they are.
Health Staffing's approach to care starts with respect for the person nearing death. We help maximize quality of life for the patient, family and loved ones in a compassionate manner. We manage pain and other symptoms, provide practical, psychological and emotional support for all involved, while respecting social, cultural and spiritual beliefs.
